Our client a high end resort in Mombasa, Kenya is seeking to hire a . The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front desk, including check-in, check-out, reservations, and guest inquiries to ensure smooth and efficient processes, ensure that all guests receive a warm welcome, outstanding service, and a personalized experience during their stay at the resort. The ideal candidate must have a relevant bachelor’s degree preferably in hospitality management and a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Front Desk Manager preferably in a 5-star beach resort.
Key Requirements:
- Oversee the daily operations of the front desk, including check-in, check-out, reservations, and guest inquiries to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
- Ensure that all guests receive a warm welcome, outstanding service, and a personalized experience during their stay at the resort.
- Lead and inspire the front desk team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a positive work environment.
- Coordinate and manage room reservations, maintain an accurate booking system, and collaborate with other departments to optimize room occupancy.
- Handle guest concerns, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally, finding appropriate solutions to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and control expenses related to the front desk operations, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Implement and maintain quality standards and procedures to uphold the resort’s reputation for excellence in service.
Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree preferably in hospitality management.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Front Desk Manager preferably in a 5-star beach resort.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of front desk personnel, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging excellence in customer service.
- Strong dedication to providing outstanding guest experiences, with a focus on personalized service and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated capability to handle guest issues and complaints in a professional and effective manner, finding appropriate solutions to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Must be willing to relocate to Mombasa.
